On May 8, 1935 – exactly two years and a day after the great 1933 fire that left more than a 130 buildings damaged the new city hall opened for business.
Hale & Hamlin is located in the Peters Block reputed to be the oldest building in downtown Ellsworth, probably not far from where Eugene Hale read law under Thomas Robinson. Despite the antiquity of its heritage, the office environment of Hale & Hamlin is as modern as any law firm in the State of Maine.
Although the firm is small, Hale & Hamlin offers full client service in such varied areas as real estate, probate and estate planning, civil litigation, municipal law, environmental law, corporations and business law, and domestic relations. It serves clients located throughout Maine and other parts of the country.
